Distortion+ for Bass - The Dragon Slapper

A quick build to finish up the year. I thought about doing a PCB for this, but in the end it's a low part count, and a simple build, so I went with veroboard.

The circuit is the MXR Distortion+, with a few modifications. Capacitor values were tweaked a bit for bass, the clipping diodes are Bat46, with the option to throw in some socketed LEDs as well. The output has a clean blend, which really helps with the bass guitar.

The font that I picked for the labels is called 'Dragon Slapper', which sounded like the perfect name for a bass distortion pedal. Vinyl sticky label printed on the inkjet, and stuck onto a sanded enclosure.
